If however, you had told me twenty-five years ago that I would leave my career in the blossoming Australian fashion industry in order to do what I do now I –
a) Would not really have understood what you were talking about and,
b) Definitely would not have believed you.
What? ‘You mean I will leave my big salary, company car and overseas fashion-buying trips (business class of course) … not to mention my wonderful wardrobe … behind, in order to study, scrape by on a shop-assistants wage and then start my own business whilst living on a shoe-string for years in order to follow my true calling and live my highest truth? You must be kidding…
But this is indeed what I did; naively, wilfully, optimistically and with a constant level of fear and anxiety that nearly caused me to run back to the relative safety of the corporate world many times. Yet somehow, I stayed with it and all these years later here I am.
Now for the first time I am ready to answer all those questions that I am asked where ever I go, and share my story. There have been highs and lows, ups and downs, successes and failures. What a wild ride! I hope you join me by reading my blog and enjoy this journey as much as I have.
